About Us
As passionate garden wildlife enthusiasts, we are dedicated to helping make feeding all your feathered and wild friends as easy, affordable and eco-friendly as possible. Here’s how we do it:
Eco Friendly
We are already transitioning to eco-friendly packaging whether that be compostable outer packaging or recyclable product packaging, we believe it’s important that our business makes as small a footprint as possible on our planet. We are constantly looking at ways to improve our eco friendly habits through recycling, the packaging we use and tools to offset our Carbon Emissions.
Offsetting Carbon Emissions
Farming is an energy-intensive activity. There’s no getting away from that. The vast majority of our farmers work to offset their own emissions but we’re going one step further. That’s why we work with a variety of green industry firms to ensure we’re always working to offset our carbon emissions. You can rest assured that when you shop with Feeds & Seeds not only are you looking after you local wildlife, but you’re also looking after wildlife around the world. As of March 2021, Feeds & Seeds are offsetting their emissions by:
- Planting 120 trees every month
- Removing 8.8 tonnes of CO2 every month
Expert-Led Approach
Every seed mix, straight seed or suet ball sold here at Feeds & Seed has been created or source at the instruction of our in-house team of bird experts. We hope you are as passionate about a healthy diet for your birds as we are because each batch has been clinically designed to provide the nutrients they need at different times of the year.
Test, Test and More Testing
Some types of feeds can be dangerous to birds. That’s why we have a triple check testing process in place to ensure all our peanuts are free from aflatoxin and safe for bird consumption.
A Fair Price
From our subscription service to bird straight bundles, we’ve developed a variety of ways to make feeding your local wild birds as affordable as possible. We would recommend that you buy in larger volumes as the price per kg reduces and it also means fewer post/courier trips, further reducing our footprint on the environment.
